Young people often 'job hop' and lack perseverance in their profession because they haven't found answers to three intrinsic questions: what they want to do, how to motivate themselves, and what happiness means to them.<\/p>\n

In\u00a0episode 8<\/a>\u00a0of UniPrep, Mr. L\u00ea \u0110\u00ecnh Hi\u1ebfu \u2013 CEO of the G.A.P Institute, a former student at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in the USA, noted that the issue of young staff not persisting at a single company is very common due to influences from peers, social media, and the press\u2026<\/p>\n

Ms. Thanh Nguy\u1ec5n \u2013 Executive Director & Happiness Inspirer at Anphabe Company, also analyzed that due to exposure to many sources of information, young people face difficulties in determining what they should focus on, leading to the 'quickly bored' syndrome. Additionally, the issue of misinformation can also create illusions of 'quick success' among the youth.<\/p>\n

While external factors influence the final decision, students can make the most appropriate choices if there is a solid internal foundation. The CEO of the G.A.P Institute believes that students need to develop three aspects of 'self.'<\/p>\n

The first is 'self-awareness.' According to him, young people today lack an understanding of themselves. During 12 years of formal education, students follow the school's achievements and parents' guidance. Therefore, when they enter university, they do not understand themselves and start following societal trends; they only care about what jobs pay well or promise quick success.<\/p>\n

\"You forget to understand yourself. Meanwhile, only when you understand yourself, do you know what you should do\", he asserts.<\/p>\n

From there, students can move to the second 'self' aspect, \"self-motivation\", which is about motivating oneself. Many people continuously change jobs due to FOMO (Fear of Missing Out). Besides, many quickly feel they understand enough because they cannot generate enough motivation to delve deeper.<\/p>\n

Mr.Hieu shares that successful people he has met, especially those on Forbes' Under30 list when they fail in something, can generate sufficient motivation for themselves and overcome their failures easily.<\/p>\n

Ms. Thanh adds that during the learning process, students may be uncertain about their choices. However, if they persist long enough, they can learn more about the issue, build a solid and deep foundation, and integrate knowledge into themselves. Then, if they wish to change, they can switch to another field by pursuing double majors or additional certificates to enhance their skills.<\/p>\n

\"At least, with the current multitasking trend, if you have enough knowledge in various fields, you can apply a lot in your work\", she adds.<\/p>\n

Finally, Mr. Hi\u1ebfu emphasizes 'self-happiness,' which is about finding happiness in one's life. This is determined by the individual and stems from within. Workers need to feel happy with what they have achieved, the challenges they face, and the journey they are on.<\/p>\n

\"That is what keeps your passion alive in pursuing your dreams. This 'self' aspect helps you to always know how to be happy with what you have achieved every day on your chosen path, leading to a more positive life\", he affirms.<\/p>\n

Sharing his own story, the former UCLA student recounts the time he left a high-paying job at a multinational company. Many thought he was 'crazy' or felt 'sorry' for his decision. However, as someone who likes to share and create practical values for others, he feels happy with social entrepreneurship, working in community education, and serving special groups like this.<\/p>\n

Ms. Thanh further states that people often judge failure based on superficial perceptions, such as not earning enough money or not getting promoted. However, to achieve sustainable success, young people need to measure results based on the value created from activities and projects they have carried out, linking it to their passions.<\/p>\n

\"Everyone's measure is different. The ability to create your own measure for success and happiness. You can overcome failure but still see lessons and happiness to continue doing better\", she emphasizes.<\/p>\n
